DESCRIPTION:We are happy to announce that the 11th Annual John Hofman Memorial Horseshoe Tournament will be held on July 4\, 2024\, at Lincoln’s McBean Park horseshoe pits.\n\nNew this year – two divisions – Hot Shots (comp team members) and Novices (non comp team members). First Place in both divisions will receive a cash prize and trophies\, and Second Place will receive trophies.\n\nJeff Williams and the McBean/Lincoln Horseshoe Pitching Club are presenting the tournament on behalf of the Native Sons of the Golden West Silver Star Parlor 63. We are immensely appreciative of them stepping in to manage the annual 4th of July tournament\, and that a portion of the entry fees will be donated to our parlor for the scholarship fund and the Lincoln 4th of July Fireworks Fund.\n\nDetails for the July 4th tournament are on the attached flyer. DESCRIPTION:The annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast is on the way\, and is presented by the Lincoln area parlors of the Native Sons of the Golden West\, and the Native Daughters of the Golden West.\n\nHeld at the Lincoln Veterans Memorial Hall\, 541 5th Street\, the breakfast runs from 7am-10am. Cost is $12 for ages 12 and up\, and $7 for ages 11 and under. Pancakes\, eggs\, ham\, coffee\, milk\, and juice are on the menu.\n\nFunds raised thru this annual event are used by the two groups for various local projects – including informational plaques on historic sites\, scholarships\, supporting the Lincoln Area Archives Museum and other community groups\, and much more.\n\nWe appreciate the support of American Legion Post 264\, American Legion Post 264 Auxiliary\, and VFW Post 3010 in the use of the Veterans Memorial Hall.\n\nIf you have any questions\, please send us a message via our FB page.
